What is osteoarthritis?
Osteoarthritis is a chronic degenerative joint disease that occurs when the cartilage between joints wear and tear after prolong use. This condition can affect any joints, although the knee is most commonly affected.

What are the symptoms of osteoarthritis?


Patient usually experience painful joints after prolong periods of use. More specifically to knee osteoarthritis, patient experiences pain on walking and climbing of steps. Some patients also experience grinding sensations in their knees. In severe cases, the joint can be deformed as well. This can be debilitating as it affects one’s daily lifestyle.


When to see a doctor?


Most osteoarthritis can be treated with simple analgesia. However, if the pain becomes unbearable and affects one’s daily activities, it is recommended to see a doctor.
